Jasmine Epps
Engineering Education, University at Buffalo
Jasmine Epps is a Ph.D. student in Engineering Education and an M.S. student in Data Analytics Engineering in Industrial Engineering at the University at Buffalo. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering. Her research focuses on the systematic institutional barriers affecting the retention and support of underrepresented racial minoritized engineering students. Currently, she analyzes computer science students’ sense of belonging and engagement through social network analysis. She also explores how first-year engineering students develop self-agency in managing mental health, time management, and metacognitive strategies.
