Chris Robertson
University of Minnesota
Chris Robertson is a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Minnesota. Chris uses mixed methods (e.g., regression modeling, spatial analyses, and interviews) to: (1) uncover how structural racism perpetuates inequities in legal system contact and population health, and (2) explain and estimate the health costs of punitive social control. In his dissertation, Chris examines how neighborhood legacies of racially restrictive covenants shape contemporary disparities in police contact and population health in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Chris‘s work has been supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the American Sociological Association.
