Dr. Winona Vesey


This seminar reviews intervention and experimental procedures from a psychometrics perspective, and offers step-by-step demonstrations in R or STATA. This seminar includes asynchronous materials to help you prepare for step-by-step statistical demonstrations in the synchronous session.

Dr. Winona Vesey joined the Learning Analytics & Psychometrics team at Kaplan North American in April of 2021. Dr. Vesey has extensive experience in national and international test development, data analysis, reporting, research, exam validity, and innovations in testing. Prior to Kaplan, Dr. Vesey was a psychometrician at Elsevier. During her four-year tenure at Elsevier, Winona worked exclusively on the HESI product line, which focused on nursing preparation for the NCLEX exam. Dr. Vesey also has experience as a professor. She taught statistics, experimental design, current topics in test and measurement at the University of Houston – Clear Lake for seven years, where she also gained tenure. Dr. Vesey’s Ph.D. is in Educational Psychology, Quantitative Methods from The University of Texas at Austin. She has authored several research reports, journal articles, best practice documents, and white papers. Her most recent publication can be found in the Journal of Applied Testing Technology.
